The red topaz machete is the best machete in Old School RuneScape. It is a members only item used to chop through the thick jungle on Karamja. No other machete gives you a better chance to cut through the jungle plants. This makes it a great tool for the Tai Bwo Wannai Cleanup minigame.
The red topaz machete also works as a low level melee weapon. It has a slash attack bonus of +16 and a strength bonus of +10. It has no requirements to wield, so any player can use it. The weapon attacks once every 2.4 seconds and has four combat styles: Chop, Slash, Lunge, and Block.
In the game, players can buy the machete from Gabooty in Tai Bwo Wannai Village after finishing the Jungle Potion quest. It costs 2,400 trading sticks, or 2,000 with karamja gloves 1. Safta Doc can also make one for 1,200 trading sticks, a gout tuber, and three red topaz gems.
