The Pirate's hat is a fun cosmetic headwear item in Old School RuneScape. It is a members-only item that first came out on 5 May 2004. Players can get it as a rare reward from hard Treasure Trails. The drop rate is 1 in 1,625 from a hard reward casket. It is also tradeable on the Grand Exchange, so players can buy one without doing clue scrolls.

This hat has no combat bonuses at all. It gives no attack or defence stats. Players wear it for its classic pirate look. Its in-game description says "Shiver me timbers!" The hat is very light and weighs only 0.001 kg. It can be stored in the treasure chest of a costume room in a player-owned house.

Players who have finished the Cabin Fever quest can do more with this hat. They can pay Patchy 500 coins to attach it to a Right eye patch. This makes a hat eyepatch, which gives an even stronger pirate style.
