Description

Raw beef is an uncooked food item in Old School RuneScape. It is a common drop from cows, cow calves, and buffaloes, and each kill gives one piece. Werewolves can drop it too.

Raw beef is great for training Cooking. You only need level 1 Cooking to cook it, and each piece gives 30 Cooking experience. Cooking it makes cooked meat. If the cook fails, it turns into burnt meat instead.

Members can also turn raw beef into sinew. Use the raw beef on a range and pick the "Make sinew" option. This needs level 1 Cooking and gives 3 experience. Sinew is useful for players who want it for other skills.

Raw beef is also needed for the Druidic Ritual quest. In the quest, one raw beef is dipped into the Cauldron of Thunder in the Taverly dungeon to make enchanted beef.

Raw beef weighs 0.34 kg. It can also be bought from Rufus' Meat Emporium in Canifis and Wydin's Food Store in Port Sarim. It is a simple item that helps with early Cooking levels and quest progress.
