Description

Raw karambwan is a fish caught in Old School RuneScape. It is an octopus that lives near the tropical island of Karamja. Players catch it with a karambwan vessel and raw karambwanji as bait. Fishing for karambwan needs level 65 Fishing and progress in the Tai Bwo Wannai Trio quest. The fishing spot is north of the Karamja Shipyard, close to fairy ring code DKP.

Raw karambwan can be cooked in two ways. Cooking it poorly needs only level 1 Cooking and gives a poison karambwan with 80 Cooking experience. This is a fast way to train Cooking from low levels. Cooking it thoroughly needs level 30 Cooking and gives a cooked karambwan with 190 Cooking experience. Karambwan stop burning at level 99 Cooking, or level 93 at the Hosidius Kitchen.

Catching a karambwan is a medium Karamja Diary task. Cooking one thoroughly is a hard Karamja Diary task. The name karambwan means "Friend of Karamja" in the local language. Raw karambwan is a great pick for players who want fast Cooking training or good food for their account.
