Description

The Ring of Recoil is a classic Old School RuneScape ring made by casting Lvl-1 Enchant on a sapphire ring. When worn, it reflects part of the damage you take back at your attacker. The recoil deals about 10% of the hit back, and it always hits for at least 1 damage. This works on both monsters and other players.

Each ring can deal up to 40 damage before it shatters. You can check the charges left by looking at the ring in your Worn Equipment screen. The charge count is tracked per player, not per ring, so a fresh ring shares the same count as any other you have worn.

This ring shines against enemies that attack fast but hit low, since each hit they land hurts them back. It has no combat stat bonuses, but it can add real damage in long fights. Rings of recoil can also be used to charge a Ring of Suffering, giving it the same recoil effect so you do not need to swap rings mid-fight. Pair it with full Dharok's gear, an amulet of the damned, and Vengeance to bounce back huge amounts of damage.
