Description
Roast beast meat is a members-only food item in Old School RuneScape. When you eat it, it heals 8 hitpoints. It is a good snack to keep in your inventory while training skills or fighting monsters.
This food is made by cooking a skewered beast on a fire. You need level 21 Cooking to make it, and a good cook earns 82.5 experience each time. Low level cooks may burn the meat, but the burn rate drops as your Cooking level goes up. At level 99 Cooking, it never burns.
The meat starts as raw beast meat, which comes from kebbits caught with the Hunter skill. Hunters use a noose wand to track and catch kebbits like the common kebbit, polar kebbit, and feldip weasel. The raw meat is put on an iron spit to make a skewered beast, and then cooked over a fire.
Roast beast meat is tradeable and noteable, so it is easy to buy, sell, and carry in bulk. It weighs 2 kg and does not stack. Its examine text says it all: "A delicious looking slab of roast beast."
