The rune 2h sword is a two-handed sword in Old School RuneScape. It needs 40 Attack to wield. It is stronger than the adamant 2h sword but weaker than the dragon 2h sword.

This sword is famous in free-to-play player killing. It has a +70 strength bonus, the highest in free-to-play, tied with the hill giant club. It also has the highest slash bonus of any free-to-play weapon at +69. Many players use it to finish off other players with one big hit.

The sword has four combat styles. Chop and block use slash attacks. Smash uses crush attacks with a +50 crush bonus. Slash and smash train Strength, chop trains Attack, and block trains Defence.

Players can smith the rune 2h sword at level 99 Smithing with 3 runite bars and a hammer at an anvil. This gives 225 Smithing experience. It can also drop from any monster with access to the rare drop table, such as General Graardor, Obor, gargoyles, and nechryaels.
