Description
The Serpentine helm (uncharged) is a helmet in Old School RuneScape. It comes from a serpentine visage, which players carve with a chisel at level 52 Crafting. You need 75 Defence to wear it. The helm is only tradeable in its uncharged form.
The helm must be charged with Zulrah's scales before it can be worn. A full charge takes 11,000 scales and lasts 16 hours and 30 minutes of combat. When charged, its defence bonuses are close to the Barrows helmets, and it has the fourth highest strength bonus of all helmets in the game.
A charged helm makes you immune to venom and poison. It also gives your hits a chance to inflict venom on monsters. The chance is 1 in 6 with a normal melee weapon, 1 in 2 with poisoned weapons or the noxious halberd, and 100% with the toxic blowpipe, trident of the swamp, or toxic staff of the dead.
Players can dismantle an uncharged helm to get 20,000 Zulrah's scales. You can also recolour it with a magma or tanzanite mutagen for a new look with no stat changes.
