Description

Zulrah's scales are flakes of toxic snakeskin from Old School RuneScape. Players use them to charge some of the strongest venom weapons and gear in the game. Scales power the serpentine helm, the toxic blowpipe, the toxic staff of the dead, and the trident of the swamp. Without scales, these items cannot be used, so every player who owns them needs a steady supply.

Scales also help with Herblore. At level 87 Herblore, players can use scales on an Antidote++ to make anti-venom. It takes 5 scales per dose. Anti-venom is a big help when fighting venomous monsters.

In the game, scales drop from Zulrah. Each kill gives about 220 scales on average. Players can also get them by dissecting sacred eels, which needs level 72 Cooking and level 87 Fishing. Dismantling items like the tanzanite fang or serpentine visage gives 20,000 scales each.

Zulrah's scales are stackable and weigh nothing, so they take up just one inventory slot. They are members-only and tradeable. They are one of the most traded items on the Grand Exchange, which shows how much players want them.
