Description

The soul rune is a members-only rune in Old School RuneScape. It powers some of the strongest magic in the game. Soul runes are needed for high level curse spells, teleport-other spells, shadow spells, Blood Barrage, Enchant Crossbow Bolt (Dragonstone), and most Reanimation spells. Runes like Shadow Barrage, Vulnerability, Stun, Mark of Darkness, and Ward of Arceuus all use them.

Soul runes do more than cast spells. They charge Tumeken's shadow, the soul bearer, and Kharedst's memoirs. They are also used to make Elidinis' ward (f). Players who use spells from the Standard, Ancient, Arceuus, or Lunar spellbooks will burn through these runes fast.

Soul runes are tradeable and stackable, and they weigh nothing. Crafting them takes level 90 Runecraft at the Soul Altar in northern Arceuus, using dark essence fragments. That is a lot of work, so many players buy them instead.
