Description
Spiky vambraces are leather armour worn on the forearms in Old School RuneScape. They are a members-only item. They have no skill requirements, so any player can wear them right away.
These vambraces have the same stats as leather vambraces, plus a +2 Strength bonus. They give +4 to ranged attack, +2 to stab defence, +2 to slash defence, and +1 to crush defence. They carry no magic penalty, which makes them a good pick for rangers. Low-level warriors also like them for the extra Strength bonus.
Spiky vambraces are made by using kebbit claws on leather vambraces. This needs level 32 Crafting and gives 6 Crafting experience. The item is light and weighs only 0.226 kg.
Even with their attack and Strength bonuses, spiky vambraces can still be taken to Entrana. This makes them one of the few items with combat bonuses allowed on the island. For new members who want a small edge in melee or ranged combat without any level requirements, spiky vambraces are a simple and useful choice.
