Description
The Steam battlestaff is a steam elemental staff in Old School RuneScape. When equipped, it gives unlimited water and fire runes. It also lets players autocast spells. To wield it, a player needs 30 Attack and 30 Magic.
Free water and fire runes save money and inventory space. The staff powers spells that use both runes, such as Humidify, Bake Pie, Magic Imbue, Teleport to Kourend, and Teleport Ape Atoll. The staff has a +12 magic attack bonus and a +35 strength bonus, so it can also work as a crush weapon in melee.
In the game, this staff is a rare drop from K'ril Tsutsaroth, a level 650 boss in the God Wars Dungeon, at a rate of 1 in 127. Players can bring the staff and coins to Thormac to turn it into the mystic steam staff, which has better melee and magic stats.
Players can also add a steam staff upgrade kit to change how the staff looks. This makes the steam battlestaff (or). The change is only cosmetic and can be reverted, but the kit is not kept.
