Description
The pestle and mortar is a members-only tool in Old School RuneScape. It is used to crush and grind items into dust, powder, or paste. It is a key tool for training Herblore and for finishing many quests. It is also needed in the Sorceress's Garden minigame to make sq'irk juice.
Players use it to make many important ingredients. It grinds unicorn horn dust for antipoison potions, chocolate dust for energy potions, and goat horn dust for combat potions. It also makes herb tars, karambwan paste, crushed bird nests for Saradomin brews, and much more. When you use it to auto-crush, it grinds every item of that type in your inventory.
The pestle and mortar helps in many quests. These include Desert Treasure I and II, Dragon Slayer II, Song of the Elves, Regicide, The Dig Site, Lunar Diplomacy, and more.
This item is tradeable and noteable, but it cannot be stacked or worn. It is very light at just 0.056 kg, so it is easy to carry. Any player who trains Herblore or works through quests will want one in their bank.
