The swamp lizard is a two-handed weapon in Old School RuneScape. It is a live green lizard caught in the swamps of Morytania. To wield it, you need level 30 in Attack, Ranged, and Magic. It uses guam tar as its ammo.
This weapon is special because it can attack in three ways. The Scorch style uses Slash for melee hits. The Flare style uses Ranged and attacks faster, at a speed of 4. The Blaze style uses Magic. In melee mode, it can poison enemies starting at 6 damage.
The swamp lizard must be close to its target, but it can hit enemies in diagonal squares and from behind fences. This makes safespotting possible. It has a +10 Slash bonus, a +20 Magic bonus, and a +22 Strength bonus, which matches a mithril longsword. Its ranged power with guam tar matches a steel arrow.
Keep in mind that this is a live creature. If it is not protected, it will run away when you die. It is a fun and flexible pick for low and mid level accounts that want one weapon for melee, ranged, and magic attacks.
