Guam tar is a members item in Old School RuneScape. It is a thick, green, tar-like substance that smells bad. It is stackable and tradeable, and it weighs nothing.

Guam tar has two main uses. First, it works as ammunition when you wield a swamp lizard as a weapon. When wielded, it gives a ranged strength bonus of +16. It gives no attack or defence bonuses. Second, it can be used as bait when hunting swamp lizards with the Hunter skill. Using it as bait raises your catch rate by 3%.

Players can make guam tar at level 19 Herblore. To do this, use 15 swamp tar on a guam leaf or ground guam while you have a pestle and mortar in your inventory. This makes 15 guam tar and gives 30 Herblore experience.

Guam tar is a good pick for players who train Hunter on swamp lizards or who fight with a swamp lizard. It saves time on making tar yourself and keeps your supply stocked for hunting or combat.
