Description

The Torstol seed is a stackable and tradeable seed in Old School RuneScape. You can plant it in a herb patch at level 85 Farming. When the herb is grown, you can harvest grimy torstol. After you clean the herbs, you can use them in Herblore to make potions.

Each patch needs one seed. The herb takes 80 minutes to grow, split into four stages of 20 minutes each. Planting gives 199.5 Farming XP, and each harvest gives 224.5 XP. You will get at least 3 herbs per patch, and often more. Torstol has a minimum of 3 harvest lives. Each tier of compost adds one more life, up to 6 lives with ultracompost. There is also a chance to keep a harvest life when you pick herbs, and this chance grows with your Farming level.

Note that gardeners will not watch herb patches, and a white lily will not protect them from disease. Picking torstol from the patch north of East Ardougne is a task in the elite Ardougne Diary. This makes the Torstol seed a strong pick for high level farmers who want XP and valuable herbs.
