Description
The Willow shield is a wooden shield in Old School RuneScape. You need level 30 Defence to wear it. It is a solid pick for players who are still training their combat skills and want some extra protection.
The shield gives good defence bonuses for its level. It adds +6 to Stab defence, +7 to Slash, +5 to Crush, +2 to Magic, and +6 to Ranged. It has no attack bonuses, so it is all about keeping you safe in a fight.
Players with level 42 Fletching can make this shield by using a knife on two willow logs. Making one gives 83 Fletching experience. It is also the base item for making a snakeskin shield, so it is useful for crafting as well as combat.
The Willow shield weighs about 3 kg, so it will not slow you down much. Pick one up if you want a simple, low level shield that blocks hits well, or if you plan to turn it into a snakeskin shield later on.
