The OSRS yellow cape is a thick yellow cape worn in the cape slot. It is a free-to-play item, so any player can wear it. It is a simple way to add color to your outfit in Old School RuneScape.
The cape gives small defence bonuses. It has +1 slash, +1 crush, and +2 ranged defence. It gives no attack bonuses. It is light too, weighing only 0.453 kg.
Players can make a yellow cape with the Crafting skill. Use yellow dye on a black, blue, green, orange, pink, purple, or red cape. This needs only level 1 Crafting and gives 2.5 Crafting experience. A yellow cape can also be dyed again with other colors to make those capes instead.
The cape can also be bought in shops. It is sold at Barkers' Haberdashery in Canifis, the Fancy Clothes Store in Varrock, Shayzien Styles in Shayzien, and Floria's Fashion in Civitas illa Fortis. The yellow cape came out on 8 December 2001, and its item ID is 1023.
