Description
Abyssal armour spikes (alloy) are alloy armour spikes upgraded with abyssal flesh in RuneScape 3. They are a consumable, members only item that hurts enemies who attack you. Keep them in your backpack or ammo slot while wearing melee gear, and they deal damage to enemies who attack you from a tile next to you or with a melee attack.
Each damaging hit from the spikes adds a stack of the Abyssal Parasite melee bleed. Each stack deals 18.74 to 31.24 bleed damage, up to 50 stacks. The target takes damage every 1.8 seconds for 5 hits over 9 seconds. If the target dies with the bleed active, it spreads to enemies in a 5x5 area around it with half the stacks. This spread does not work in PvP.
The spikes also keep the alloy spike effect. They have a 10% chance to boost their damage from 100% to 1000% of your Smithing level. Making them takes level 99 Smithing, which can be boosted.
These spikes are tradeable and stackable, weigh nothing, and have a Grand Exchange buy limit of 10,000. They are a strong pick for melee training and slayer tasks.
