Description

Arctic pyre logs are a members-only item in RuneScape 3. They are Arctic pine logs treated with sacred oil so they can be used on funeral pyres. Players use them in the Shades of Mort'ton minigame to cremate the remains of Loar, Phrin, and Riyl shades. After the Legacy of Seergaze quest, they can also burn vyre corpses in the Columbarium under the Paterdomus temple.

Lighting these logs needs level 47 Firemaking. Cremating a shade gives 158 Firemaking experience and 33.9 Prayer experience. This makes the logs a solid pick for players who want to train both skills at once.

Burning shade remains on a pyre also gives a reward. Coins or a key appear on a nearby stone stand. The type of key depends on the shade remains used, and higher level shades give better keys.

Making these logs yourself takes work. You need three doses of sacred oil for each set of Arctic pine logs, and sacred oil comes from restoring the temple north of Mort'ton. Buying Arctic pyre logs skips that grind. The logs are tradeable and noteable, so they are easy to move and store.
