Description

Sacred oil (3) is a vial of blessed olive oil with three doses. It is a members item in RuneScape 3. Players use it to turn normal logs into pyre logs for the Firemaking skill.

To make pyre logs, add sacred oil to logs. Three doses is enough for willow, teak, arctic pine, maple, or mahogany logs. Regular and oak logs need only two doses. Yew, magic, elder, and eucalyptus logs need four. The vial has a left-click Apply option, so making pyre logs is quick and easy.

Pyre logs have two main uses. Players can cremate shade remains in Mort'ton to earn keys for the Shade Catacombs and its reward chests. Players can also cremate vyre corpses in the Columbarium after Legacy of Seergaze. This makes the Ivandis flail and blisterwood weapons stronger and gives keys for rewards. Both uses grant Firemaking and Prayer experience.

Sacred oil normally comes from the Shades of Mort'ton minigame, where it costs sanctity points to make. Buying it saves that time. One dose can also fill an empty canopic jar. The vial is tradeable, noteable, and light at 0.02 kg.
