Description

The RS3 Augmentor is a device used in the Invention skill in RuneScape 3. It turns a piece of gear into an augmented version. Once an item is augmented, you can attach gizmos to it. Gizmos add perks that make your gear work better.

You need level 2 Invention to use an augmentor on a weapon. Body armour and shields can be augmented at level 16, tools at level 22, and leg armour at level 45. Attaching an augmentor to an item gives 50 Invention experience.

Making an augmentor yourself takes a lot of work. It needs 45 Base parts, 45 Flexible parts, 45 Tensile parts, 8 Enhancing components, 7 Powerful components, and divine energy. Buying one saves all that time and material.

The augmentor is a members-only item. It is tradeable, stackable, and weighs nothing. If you want to remove it later, an augmentation dissolver can undo the process, but the augmentor is destroyed and any degradable item fully degrades. Keep in mind that items already augmented cannot be augmented again, and augmentation is removed from items that drop on death in the Wilderness.
