Description
Balarak's sash brush base is a members item in RuneScape 3. It is one of three fragments from an old dragonkin tool. When you combine it with the brush head and brush handle, you make the damaged Balarak's sash brush. This step needs level 103 Archaeology.
The base drops while excavating at the Daemonheim Dig Site. It can come from the level 103, 107, or 113 hotspots. The Traveller's station at level 113 has the best drop rate. Buying the base saves you from many hours of digging for a rare drop.
Why does this fragment matter? The finished Balarak's sash brush is a skilling off-hand for Archaeology. It needs level 80 Archaeology to use. It gives a 5% boost to excavation success rate and mattock base precision. It also gives a 10% chance to find an extra material while excavating and a 5% chance to gain Chronal Focus at full sprite focus.
The base is tradeable and noteable, and it weighs 0.2 kg. It is always kept on death outside dangerous areas. A damaged brush can be repaired with help from Sharrigan, the dragonkin artefact collector.
