Balarak's sash brush head is one of three pieces needed to build the damaged Balarak's sash brush in RuneScape 3. It is a fragment from a dragonkin tool. When you combine the head with the handle and the base, you get the damaged artefact. This step needs level 103 Archaeology.

Players want this piece because the finished brush is a strong skilling off-hand for Archaeology. Once repaired with help from Sharrigan, the brush requires level 80 Archaeology to use. Its Dragonkin Precision effect gives a 5% boost to excavation success rate, a 5% boost to mattock base precision, and a 10% chance to get an extra material while excavating. It also gives a 5% chance to gain Chronal Focus at 100% sprite focus.

The head normally drops from excavation hotspots at the Daemonheim Dig Site, such as the Projection space, the Security booth, and the Traveller's station.
