Description
Barbed bolts are bronze bolts with barbed tips in RuneScape 3. They are tier 5 ranged ammunition for crossbows. They have an ability damage of 48 and a maximum hit of 72. Any player can wield them, since they have no level requirements.
Players make barbed bolts with the Fletching skill at level 51. Attaching 10 barbed bolt tips to 10 bronze bolts gives 95 Fletching experience. The tips come from the Ranging Guild in exchange for tickets. Making the bolts is a members-only task, but the bolts themselves are not members-only items.
Barbed bolts are stackable and tradeable, so they are easy to carry and easy to move on the market. They can also be disassembled for Invention. They fall in the bolts and bolt tips category and can give base parts, head parts, spiked parts, and rare stunning components.
These bolts are a good pick for low-level ranged training or for players who want cheap, simple ammo. They are also useful for Fletching training, since making them gives steady experience at level 51 and above.
