Description
The Barrel of monkeys is a fun item from The Beach event in RuneScape 3. Players get it from Sandy Caskets, including the red version. Before 2018, it was a random reward from skilling or a drop from Clawdia during the Summer Beach Party.
When you drop the barrel on a surface, it lets out up to 10 grey monkeys. The monkeys scamper around in random ways. Each monkey lasts about 30 seconds before it vanishes. The barrel can only be used once, and it disappears along with the monkeys. Only one barrel can be placed at a time, and it cannot be dropped in bank areas. There is no warning message before it is used, so be sure you want to use it.
This version is tradeable and stackable. That makes it different from the barrel from the Squeal of Fortune, which works the same way. The item weighs 0 kg and cannot be alchemised, noted, or disassembled. It is always kept on death outside dangerous areas. Its examine text says it smells strongly of bananas. It is a great pick for players who enjoy rare and silly RS3 items.
