The Binding contract (gargoyle) is a summoning item in RuneScape 3. It summons a gargoyle familiar. You need level 75 Summoning to use it. Summoning the gargoyle gives 4.9 experience and costs 100 Summoning points.

The gargoyle is an Ancient familiar that helps with the Mining skill. It gives an invisible +12 Mining damage boost while it is active. The familiar lasts 64 minutes and fights in aggressive mode. You can keep it going longer by sacrificing another binding contract to renew its timer.

The familiar has a special move called Hammer Rock. It makes your next mining swing deal 50% more damage. This is great for hitting rockertunities on core rocks. You can turn the contract into 20 Gargoyle scrolls at a summoning obelisk. You get 24 scrolls per pouch if the Voice of Seren is active in the Amlodd district of Prifddinas.

The gargoyle can also fight. It has a combat level of 91, 8,500 life points, and a max melee hit of 624. If you want faster mining and a strong helper at your side, this contract is a solid pick.
