Description

The Binding contract (hellhound) is a Summoning pouch in RuneScape 3. It summons a hellhound familiar. You need level 45 Summoning to use it. Summoning the hellhound costs 100 Summoning points and gives 4.9 experience.

The hellhound is a defensive familiar that lasts 64 minutes. It absorbs 20% of any damage dealt to you by taking the hit itself. This makes it a strong pick for tough bosses and long fights. Stay within 16 squares of the familiar so it keeps absorbing damage. The hellhound has 20,000 life points and a combat level of 98. Its special move uses a Hellhound scroll (Soul Food) to heal itself for 10% of its max life points, which is 2,000 life points.

You can turn the pouch into 20 Hellhound scrolls at a Summoning obelisk. If the Voice of Seren is active in the Amlodd district of Prifddinas, the obelisk there gives 24 scrolls per pouch. You can also sacrifice a binding contract to renew an ancient familiar's timer.
