The Black helm (h4) is a heraldic version of the black helm in RuneScape 3. It shows a special crest design on the front, which makes it stand out from the plain black helm. Players use it as a cosmetic item to change their look while keeping the same stats.
This helm is tier 25 melee tank armour. You need level 25 Defence to wear it. It gives 76.2 armour, a 250 life points bonus, 0.5% PvM damage reduction, and 0.9375% PvP damage reduction. The stats match the normal black helm, so the heraldic design is purely for style.
The Black helm (h4) is a possible reward from an easy clue scroll in Treasure Trails. It cannot be made with the Smithing skill, and players cannot decorate it. It is tradeable, equipable, and noteable, and it weighs 2.721 kg.
The helm can also be disassembled for Invention. It gives 7.5 disassembly XP and always yields 1 Fortunate component. Other possible materials include Cover parts, Deflecting parts, Plated parts, Strong components, and Protective components.
