Description

The Black knife is a ranged throwing weapon in RuneScape 3. It is a finely balanced throwing knife that you can throw at enemies from up to 5 squares away. You need at least 25 Ranged to wield it.

This tier 25 weapon has 381 accuracy and 240 ability damage. It attacks at the fastest speed, hitting every 2.4 seconds. The knife is stackable, so a full stack takes up only one spot in your inventory. It also weighs nothing. There is an off-hand version too, so you can throw knives with both hands at once.

Black knives have a special use. They are one of only two ranged weapons that can harm the Tormented wraith. The only other option is black darts. The Black knife is also one of the few Black equipment items with no White equipment match.

Players who train Invention can disassemble these knives. Each action uses 50 knives and always gives Knightly components. You may also get Simple parts, Blade parts, Metallic parts, Sharp components, or Swift components. This makes the Black knife handy for both combat and skilling.
