Black platelegs (t) are a trimmed version of black platelegs in RuneScape 3. They look different from the plain version, but they have the same stats and the same requirements to wear. The trim is purely cosmetic, so players buy them for the style.

These platelegs are tank armour for the legs slot. They need level 25 to equip. They give 83.8 armour and a 375 life points bonus. They also give 0.5% damage reduction against monsters and 1.3125% damage reduction against other players.

Trimmed black armour cannot be made with the Smithing skill, and players cannot trim armour themselves. In the game, the item is a possible reward from easy clue scrolls in Treasure Trails, or from cremating at the Columbarium. Buying them is a simple way to get the trimmed look without hunting for clue scrolls.
