The black spear is a two-handed melee weapon in RuneScape 3. It is a members item. You need an Attack level of 25 to wield it. It is a tier 25 spear that uses the stab style. It deals 360 damage with 381 accuracy and has an ability damage of 558.8. It gives no armour or defensive bonuses.

You cannot make the black spear with the Smithing skill. This is true for all black equipment. It comes from chests in the shade catacombs of Mort'ton during the Shades of Mort'ton minigame. It can also drop from Former vampyres and Vampyre Juvinates.

The black spear is useful in the Tai Bwo Wannai Trio quest. You can add poison karambwan paste to it to make the black spear (kp). After the quest, a cleaning cloth turns it back into a normal black spear.

This spear is rare in one way. There is no white spear in the game, so the black spear is one of the few black items without a white version. It can also be disassembled for Knightly components, with a chance at Precise and Direct components.
