Description

RS3 Bones are the most common way to train the Prayer skill in RuneScape 3. Most monsters that look like animals or humans drop them, and players leave them behind when they die. Each set of bones gives 4.5 Prayer experience when buried.

Bones give more Prayer experience when used in other ways. Offering them at a regular altar gives 6.8 experience. The altar in Fort Forinthry gives 13.5. A gilded altar, powder of burials, or an auto-sanctifier gives 15.8. The Ectofuntus gives the most at 18 experience per bone. Cremation gives 11.3 Prayer experience plus 9 Firemaking experience.

Players can put bones on the action bar and bind a key to bury them fast, even during combat. Burying from the bank gives about 16,200 experience per hour. A player-owned house altar gives about 17,010, and powder of burials pushes that to 56,700 per hour.

Bones are tradeable and noteable, and each one weighs 0.5 kg. They can also be turned into food with the Bones to Bananas or Bones to Peaches spells. Buying bones in bulk is a simple way to level Prayer without spending hours killing monsters.
