Description
The Broken dragon bane square shield is a members item in RuneScape 3. It is the broken form of the dragon bane square shield, a tier 79 melee shield made from banite metal tuned against dragons. The shield reaches this broken state after 50,000 charges of combat.
The broken shield can be fixed. The base repair cost is 600,000 coins for a full repair, and the price scales with how damaged it is. A character who repairs equipment can fix it, or it costs less on an armour stand or whetstone.
Once repaired, the shield needs level 80 Defence to wear. It gives 375.2 armour, 350 life points, and 7.9% PvM damage reduction. It also gives partial protection against dragonfire. While fighting dragons, it adds a thorns effect. Targets next to the wearer that land a hit take damage back equal to half of the player's current Defence level.
This shield is a strong pick for players who fight dragons with melee. It is tradeable, noteable, and can be disassembled. It weighs 0.08 kg. Buying the broken version is a simple way to get this dragon fighting shield and repair it yourself.
