Description
Brown dye is a small bottle of dye in RuneScape 3. It has one job. Players use it on undead dragon leather to make dyed undead dragon leather. That leather is a key part of making a masterwork 2h sword, masterwork bow, or masterwork staff. If you want to craft this high level masterwork gear, you will need brown dye.
Brown dye is made by mixing two standard dyes of opposing colours. There are three ways to make it. You can mix orange dye with blue dye, red dye with green dye, or yellow dye with purple dye. Each mix works out to all three primary colours combined.
Brown dye is different from other dyes. It cannot be used on Essence of Finality amulets, rune pouches, or Pernix's quiver. It also cannot turn coloured goblin mail back to brown. Its only use is for masterwork crafting.
The item is tradeable and open to free-to-play players. It weighs very little, so it is easy to carry. Brown dye came out on 12 August 2024. Grab some brown dye and get one step closer to your masterwork weapon.
