Description

The butterfly net is a Hunter tool in RuneScape 3. It is used to catch butterflies and implings across Gielinor and in Puro-Puro. You need level 15 Hunter to wield it. You also need butterfly jars to hold the butterflies you catch.

With this net and a jar, you can catch butterflies like the ruby harvest at level 15, the sapphire glacialis at level 25, the snowy knight at level 35, and the black warlock at level 45. Butterflies can be released on other players in multiple combat areas. They give boosts to Attack, Strength, or Defence, or restore life points.

The net counts as a main hand magic weapon when you cast bind, snare, or entangle to catch implings. It deals no damage to targets. Unlike other magic weapons, it lets you use Bladed Dive when paired with an off-hand melee weapon, a skilling off-hand, or laceration boots. The net only works when it is unsheathed.

Players with level 15 Hunter can also wield the butterfly net as a fun weapon. It is light too, weighing only 0.226 kg, so it is easy to carry while you hunt.
