The red cape is a simple cosmetic cape in RuneScape 3. It is available to Free-to-play players and fits in the cape slot. It gives no combat bonuses, so it is worn purely for its look. The cape weighs 0.453 kg and has no requirements to equip.

Players can get a red cape from Thessalia's Fine Clothes in Varrock or from the Grand Exchange. It can also be made by using red dye on a regular cape. This needs only level 1 Crafting and gives 2.5 Crafting experience. Red dye is made by giving Aggie 3 Redberries and 5 coins. Goblins and Brokeface can also drop the cape at a rate of about 1 in 128.

The red cape can be dyed again with other dyes to make capes of different colors. Each dye job needs level 1 Crafting and gives 2.5 Crafting experience. The cape can be disassembled as a Clothing item with a base junk chance of 98.9 percent. Possible materials include Cover parts, Simple parts, Padded parts, and rarely Variable components. It is a cheap and easy way to add color to any outfit.
