Description
The Catalyst Harpoon token is an item in RuneScape 3. You redeem it to unlock the Catalyst Harpoon, a tool override for the Fishing skill. The token is destroyed when you use it. Once the override is unlocked, the token cannot be redeemed again. Unlocking takes 1 tick, which is 0.6 seconds.
The Catalyst Harpoon override is based on the Trapper's harpoon from the Animal Wrangler relic. It sits in the Skill and Tool Animations category and is free for members. It changes the look of your harpoon while you fish, so your character stands out at popular fishing spots.
The token comes from the Leagues: Catalyst Reward Shop. It costs 1,000 league points and is sold by The Sage in the Lumbridge Castle courtyard. It was added to the game on 10 November 2025.
The token is tradeable and stackable, so it takes up little space. It weighs nothing, cannot be noted, and cannot be disassembled. If you die outside a dangerous area, the token is always kept. This makes it a safe and simple item to hold until you are ready to unlock the override.
