Description
Cave goblin wire is a metal wire made by the Dorgeshuun cave goblins in RuneScape 3. They invented it for the lighting system that runs through their whole city, Dorgesh-Kaan.
The main use for cave goblin wire is making light orbs. Add one wire to an empty light orb to make a working light orb. This needs level 87 Crafting and gives 104 Crafting experience. Finished light orbs can fix broken parts of the magical lighting system in Dorgesh-Kaan. Empty light orbs can be made with glassblowing or stolen from chests in the city.
In the game, players can get this wire in four ways. They can pickpocket cave goblins with 36 Thieving. They can steal from city chests with 52 or 78 Thieving. They can grab wire from the wire machine near the furnace with 44 Thieving, which gives 22 Thieving experience per success. Players also get 100 wires after the H.A.M. v. Dorgeshuun event.
Cave goblin wire weighs 1 kg. It is a members-only item. It is tradeable, noteable, and can be disassembled. It is a handy item for players training Crafting or working on light orbs.
