Description

The chargebow is a shortbow in RuneScape 3 that makes its own magical arrows. You never need to buy or carry ammo to use it. This makes it a simple pick for new Ranged players. It is a free-to-play item and only needs level 1 Ranged to wield.

The chargebow is a tier 5 Ranged weapon that sits in the weapon slot. It has 150 accuracy, a range of 7, and uses the Arrows attack style. It gives no armour or damage reduction bonuses.

The bow can still work with real arrows if you want. If you equip arrows or hold them in a quiver, the bow uses their special effects. This includes dragonbane arrows and black stone arrows. Damage is capped at the lower tier of the arrows or the bow. With no ammo equipped, the bow fires as normal.

The chargebow is tradeable, noteable, and equipable. It weighs 0.25 kg and is not stackable. It is always kept on death outside the Wilderness. It replaced slings in the Evolution of Combat update on 20 November 2012, and it looks like the old training bow.
