Cod is a members-only fish in RuneScape 3. When eaten, it restores 450 life points. This makes it a cheap and simple food choice for low and mid level players who need to heal during combat, quests, or skilling trips.

Cod is made by cooking a raw cod at level 18 Cooking on a range or fire. Each cook gives 75 Cooking experience. It stops burning at level 49 on a range and level 51 on a fire. Cod is also an ingredient in fish pies. It is used to make a part fish pie, which needs level 47 Cooking.

Players who train Invention can disassemble cod. It falls under the food and herbs category and gives one material, most often organic parts.

Cod is tradeable and can be noted, so it is easy to carry in bulk. It is not stackable and cannot be equipped. It weighs 0.4 kg. The fish has been part of the game since 27 February 2002. Buying cod saves the time it takes to catch and cook raw cod, which needs level 23 Fishing and a big net at spots like Catherby.
