Description

Raw cod is a members-only fish in RuneScape 3. Players catch it with a big net at any Net or Harpoon fishing spot. It takes level 23 Fishing to catch, and each catch gives 45 Fishing experience. The most popular place to fish for cod is Catherby, since it is close to a bank. Other spots include the Fishing Guild, Rellekka, Jatizso, Burgh de Rott, and Feldip Hills.

Raw cod can be cooked into cod at level 18 Cooking on a fire or range. Cooking it gives 75 Cooking experience, and the cooked cod heals 7 hits when eaten. Raw cod can also be ground into ground cod with a pestle and mortar.

This fish matters for quests too. It is used in the Freeing Pirate Pete part of Recipe for Disaster. It is also needed in the Cold War quest to bribe a penguin, unless the player uses a ring of charos.

Raw cod is tradeable and can be noted or disassembled. It is a handy item for training Cooking, working on quests, or stocking up on low-level food.
