The Compass rose is a members-only Archaeology material in RuneScape 3. It was released on 19 October 2020. Players need level 77 Archaeology to dig it up from material caches or excavation sites. Its examine text calls it the symbol of the dragonkin before they were cursed.

This material is needed to restore many artefacts. These include the Dragonkin calendar, Dragonkin staff, Comfort gatestone, Halak's cube, Ritual bell, Skeka's hypnowand, and more. If you want to finish these artefacts, you will need plenty of Compass rose in your bank.

Compass rose caches are found at the Ancient cavern excavation site and the Orthen Crypt of Varanus site. The Crypt of Varanus needs level 90 and the Associate qualification. Higher Archaeology levels and better mattocks let players dig this material faster.

The Compass rose is tradeable and noteable, so it is easy to buy and store. It fits in the material storage container.
