Description

Crayfish is a low-level food item in RuneScape 3. Eating one crayfish heals 200 life points. It is a great pick for new players who need cheap food for early training and low-level combat.

Crayfish only needs level 1 Cooking to cook, and each one gives 30 Cooking experience. Players stop burning them at level 34 Cooking. This makes crayfish one of the easiest ways to start training the Cooking skill. Even though it only takes level 1 Fishing to catch, crayfish heals the same amount as anchovies, which need level 15 Fishing.

Raw crayfish are caught with a crayfish cage at cage fishing spots, such as the River Lum east of the church in Lumbridge or the river in Taverley. No bait is needed. The Lumbridge spot sits close to the Cook's range in Lumbridge Castle, which burns less food after the Cook's Assistant quest.

Crayfish is tradeable and can be noted, so it is easy to buy in bulk. Stock up on crayfish to keep your food supply full while you train combat, Fishing, or Cooking in RS3.
