Description
The crystal shield is a tier 70 Melee shield in RuneScape 3. It came out with the first part of Prifddinas. To wield it, you need 70 Defence, 50 Agility, and the Roving Elves quest done. It shares the fifth highest armour bonus with three other melee shields.
This shield gives 297.2 armour and 35 extra life points. It also cuts damage from monsters by 7%. That makes it a solid pick for players who want more defence in PvM fights.
The crystal shield degrades over 50,000 charges of combat. It uses two charges per hit, or just one charge per hit inside Prifddinas. When all the charges run out, it turns back into a crystal armour seed. A partly worn shield can be recharged for part of the current creation cost.
The shield is made from a crystal armour seed. You can pay Eluned, Islwyn, or Rhodri Dail coins to make it. The first one costs 1,000,000 coins, and the price drops with each new one down to 200,000 coins. You can also sing it at the crystal bowl in Prifddinas with 375 harmonic dust and 75 Smithing.
