Description

The dark bow is a tier 70 shieldbow in RuneScape 3. It needs level 70 Ranged and 70 Defence to use. It is the second most powerful shieldbow in the game, behind the strykebow. Because it counts as a shieldbow, you can use shield abilities while wielding it.

The bow has a passive effect called Darkfang. It splits the Ranged basic ability into two hits instead of one. The average damage stays the same, but each hit can trigger on-hit effects like Searing Winds and Shadow Imbued. It also has a special attack, Descent of Darkness, which costs 65% adrenaline and hits twice for 420% ability damage on average. With dragon arrows equipped, the special attack is called Descent of Dragons.

A wyrm scalp can be added to a dark bow to make a strykebow. Dark bows also recharge a degraded strykebow, with each bow giving 20% charge. The bow is a drop from dark beasts, which need level 90 Slayer to kill.

You can also use the dark bow for a master clue scroll emote clue and the Archery competition minigame. It has 1486 accuracy, a range of 9, and 7% PvM damage reduction.
