Description

The Dark ice shard is a main hand melee weapon in RuneScape 3. You need level 85 Attack to wield it. It is a tier 85 weapon, but it hits with the damage of a tier 88 weapon. It uses the slash style and gives a prayer bonus of 9.

The weapon has a passive effect called Frost. Each attack has a 5% chance to place a stack of Primordial Ice on your target. Its special attack, Icy Tempest, costs 30% adrenaline. It deals big damage to your main target and even more damage to up to 9 enemies close to you. Each stack of Primordial Ice you consume lowers the adrenaline cost and boosts the damage. With 3 or more stacks, the special attack costs no adrenaline at all.

The Dark ice shard lasts for 60,000 charges of combat before it breaks. A Repair NPC can fix it for 1,250,000 coins, or you can pay less at an armour stand. You can augment it with an augmentor. You can also combine it with a Frozen Core of Leng to upgrade it into the Dark Shard of Leng, a tier 95 weapon.
