Demonic essence is a members-only item in RuneScape 3. It is essence taken from the Twin Furies blades. Players use it to make a masterwork 2h sword.

You get demonic essence by breaking down a Blade of Avaryss or a Blade of Nymora. Any version works. New, partially degraded, and augmented blades can all be used. Each blade gives 2 units of essence when broken down. You need 4 units in total to make a masterwork 2h sword. Be careful with augmented blades. Breaking one down destroys it and does not return the augmentor, gizmos, or any Invention experience.

Making the sword takes level 99 Smithing. The work is done at a Dragonkin anvil.

Demonic essence is tradeable and noteable, so it is easy to move or store. It weighs 1.814 kg. It cannot be alchemised and cannot be disassembled.
