Description
The Desert shirt is a light white shirt in RuneScape 3. It is worn in the body slot and is for members only. Players wear it to stay safe from the hot sun in the Kharidian Desert, south of Shantay Pass.
Desert heat makes players need water often. When worn, the shirt slows the desert heat effect and adds 12 seconds between drinks. With a full set of desert clothing, which includes the shirt, robe, and boots, players need water about every 120 seconds instead of every 90 seconds. This means fewer waterskins on long desert trips.
The shirt is also needed for quests. In The Tourist Trap, a full white desert outfit is given to a slave miner to get a slave outfit, which lets the player reach a deeper part of the mining camp. In Shadow of the Storm, the shirt can be dyed with black mushroom ink to make a black desert shirt, though the black version gives no heat protection.
The Desert shirt has no combat bonuses. It is tradeable, noteable, and can be disassembled. Its examine text reads "A light cool shirt to wear in the desert."
