Description
The Enchantment of Dread is a tradeable item in RuneScape 3. It gives a permanent upgrade to the enhanced nightmare gauntlets. Use the Imbue option to consume the enchantment and unlock its effect on your account forever. The effect cannot be undone, and it works on all enhanced nightmare gauntlets you own now or get later.
Once unlocked, the Snipe ability fires an extra shot against targets that are not facing you. This works like the Flanking perk. The extra shot deals 50% reduced damage. The effect only works after you have worn the gloves for at least 9 seconds.
This is a strong pick for ranged players who use enhanced nightmare gauntlets in bossing or slayer. The extra Snipe shot adds free damage when you attack from behind or the side.
The Enchantment of Dread is a members item. It can be crafted with level 80 Invention using 8 slivers of power, 6 shifting components, and 2 dark bows. Crafting it grants 2,000 Invention experience. Slivers of power come from killing enemies in the Zamorakian Undercity. The item is noteable but not stackable, not equipable, and cannot be alchemised or disassembled.
